What happens to the details you send us

Who we are

MakerFlow is a trading name of Fun Gaia Pty Ltd (ABN 65 683 613 792), based in Coolum Beach, Queensland. If you have a question about your details, email hello@makerflow.com.au and Anthony will answer it himself.

What we collect

  • What you type into the form: your name, business name, email address and the job you'd like to hand over.
  • Your “How much of it repeats?” numbers, only if you leave the box ticked when you send the form. The calculator itself runs in your browser and sends nothing until you press Send.
  • What you type into the “Try it on your job” box is sent to Claude to write the instant answer (see below). We don't save it or email it anywhere.
  • Visitor numbers. We count visits on our own server: which page, the site that sent you (for example “google.com”), your screen size (phone, tablet or desktop) and a few clicks, like opening the demo or pressing “Book a free chat”. We don't use cookies for this and don't keep your IP address: a visitor is counted with a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day, so we can tell how many people visited but can't follow anyone from one day to the next or work out who you are. No Google Analytics, no advertising trackers.
  • Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, the page asked for), kept for a short time to keep the site secure and working.

We don't use advertising trackers or outside analytics, and we don't sell or share your details for marketing. The site sets one small cookie that stops other websites submitting the form in your name.

Where it's stored

Stored in Australia, on our own Sydney server: a server we rent and run ourselves in DigitalOcean's Sydney data centre. Your enquiry stays there, and only Anthony can see it. A nightly backup copy is kept on our own computer in Coolum Beach, Queensland, so that stays in Australia too.

Outside services that process your details

A few things need help from other companies. These services may process your details outside Australia:

  • Anthropic (Claude), to draft a reply and to answer the “Try it” box. When you send the form, what you typed is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to draft a summary and a suggested reply for Anthony. When you use the “Try it on your job” box, the job you type is sent to Claude to write the answer you see on the page. Anthropic is based in the United States. Under its commercial terms, it doesn't use what we send it to train its models. Anthony reads every enquiry and every draft, edits it, and decides what to send. Apart from a short automatic note saying your enquiry arrived, no reply goes to you automatically.
  • Google Workspace, for email. Our email (hello@makerflow.com.au) is hosted by Google. Anthony's reply to you, the automatic note saying your enquiry arrived, and the note telling him a new enquiry has arrived, are sent through Gmail, so Google handles those messages and may store or process them outside Australia.
  • Google Fonts, for the lettering. Your browser downloads the site's fonts from Google, which sees your IP address when it does.

What we use it for

Only to reply to you and to have the conversation you asked for. No mailing list unless you ask to be on one.

How long we keep it

Visitor numbers (which hold nothing that identifies you) are kept for up to two years so we can compare one season with the next. As long as we need it to talk with you and keep a record of what we discussed. Ask us to delete it any time and we will, unless the law requires us to keep something (for example, tax records if you become a customer).

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

Email hello@makerflow.com.au and we'll show you what we hold, fix it, or delete it. If you're not happy with how we've handled your details, tell us first and we'll put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
